WHEN COFFEE SPEAKS True Stories
☕ 1.
A Cup of Coffee at the Train Station
Location: Milan train station
Time: A cold winter morning
One workday morning, my train was delayed for half an hour. A man in his fifties sat beside me on the wooden bench and smiled:
“Would you like some coffee?”
I replied, shivering, “If there’s time.”
He chuckled and said, “Give me a minute.”
He returned with two small cups of hot Italian coffee and said:
“Waiting is easier with coffee.”
We talked while sipping—he told me about his son studying in Canada, and I told him about my passion for photography.
Then, each of us left in a different direction…
But I never forgot the warmth of that cup—or that unexpected, honest conversation.

My Mother’s Last Coffee
Location: Jeddah – old neighborhood
Time: Five years ago
My mother used to prepare Arabic coffee every morning—carefully, with cardamom, precision, and love.
On the last morning I spent with her before she passed, she handed me the cup and said:
“Every day begins right—with a cup and good intentions.”
After her death, I couldn’t drink coffee for a whole week.
Then one quiet morning, I made it exactly like she used to.
The aroma felt like her embrace.
Since then, coffee has become more than a drink—it’s a ritual of memory and love.

Coffee That Changed My Life
Location: A small café in Dubai
Time: Job interview day
I walked into the interview tired and nervous. I wasn’t fully prepared.
The manager ordered me a coffee and said:
“Drink first—then we talk.”
He surprised me with his attention to small things and told me he hires based on human connection before skills.
After that coffee, I spoke with ease…
I got the job.
Two years later, I became the regional manager.
