☕ On the Last Day of Exams
On the final day of exams, Fahad walked out of the classroom with a sigh that seemed to echo through the hallway.
Success wasn’t guaranteed, but the feeling of freedom was enough to bring a smile to his face.
He headed straight to the café he always visited during stressful times — but today, he walked in not as a student under pressure, but as someone who had just crossed the finish line.
He ordered his usual coffee, but somehow, it tasted different this time…
Calmer, deeper — like it was whispering, “You’re tired… but you made it.”
He gently raised the cup, looked out the window, and thought:
“Coffee after the last exam… tastes like a new beginning.”
He sat in his favorite corner, his back resting against the wall, the golden light of sunset falling across the table.
He opened his old notebook — the one filled with messy notes and little sketches made during moments of mental drift.
But this time, he wasn’t studying.
He wrote his first free sentence in months:
“I’m here. Still standing. With a cup of coffee… and a small victory.”
His friend Salem passed by and noticed him. With a grin, he pulled up a chair:
— “We’re done! What do you say we start the vacation right here? Same table, same coffee… no stress.”
Fahad laughed, replying:
— “Only if we promise — no talk of books at all.”
They both laughed.
And in that simple moment, Fahad realized:
The best part of finishing the journey…
is the coffee that follows it, and the seats that don’t ask for grades — only how you’re feeling.
